Fig Acai Bowl

Excuse my lack of posting for Thrifty-Tuesday this week. This past week has felt like a roller coaster so I'm extra excited that its the weekend! I'm also extra excited because I can finally eat Acai bowls again! Do you know how happy that makes me?! I became obsessed with Acai bowls while in California last March and had to take a little break of them during my first trimester. I bought a carton of figs the other day and while staring at them this morning I had the urge to make a quick little smoothie bowl! Which is also considered a superfood so baby is happy! Now do your body a favor and add this into your diet!

Ingredients. 

  • Acai Berry Blend (We use this one. You can get it at Costco)
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1/2 cup Rice Milk or Soy
  • your favorite juiciest figs
  • flax,coconut shred & Cacao mixture. (we use this one)
  • your favorite Granola. *make sure its not super high in sugar or try a easy homemade one!

Blend your Acai with the frozen bananas and milk. Start with 1/2 cup of milk and add more if needed. I like my smoothie bowls thick! Once blended pour into bowl or cup and layer your sliced figs, granola and flax mixture.

wah-la easy peasy and delightfully delicious!

Am I the only one who likes cold things VERY cold and hot things burning hot? I'm not a luke warm person so always make sure to serve this very cold. You can place your mixture before you add your toppings in the freezer for 10-15 if needed!
