a big girl room!

Hey Friends! I'm sharing Olive's big girl room with you all today. I had fun creating this space and even though I feel like I am still looking for a few things I wanted to share some sources with you all because I get tons and tons of questions anytime I share her room on Instagram!

Olives old nursery post HERE

When we moved to this new house we put Olive in a big girl bed and all the sudden I felt like she was 15! Her old nursery was centered around llamas and though, they still are her favorite I wanted to create a little different space compared to her last where her imagination could soar! We chose the wallpaper and then based everything off of that. I am still looking for a rug and her vintage mirror broke the day before I took these photos but for the most part, it feels complete. Olives closet is actually quite large and has a built-in dresser and shelving all the way up to the ceiling so lots of room for storage and keeping things tidy.  I keep most of her toys in the closet and Pearl and Olive like to pull them out and they end up around the house but I really like having space in the closet for them.

I just posted on Instagram last night here, but we spend most evenings in Olives room playing the piano and dancing waiting till our papa gets home. When I started looking on for inspiration for her room my friend Gentry posted a pegboard her husband made for her babies nursery and I fell in love so fast. Our pegboard is so fun and I plan on taking our layered gallery wall up above it as we print out more photos.

That brings me to the gallery wall. The frames are from Frame it Easy and I put them up with 3m velcro strips. Each custom frame (picture/artwork included) comes with anchors to hang them but our walls are plaster and so difficult I went with velcro strips. I also layered the photos with the same velcro strips and haven't had a single problem! This is my favorite gallery wall I've ever done and I completely winged it. I didn't measure or plan I just kind of started and loved how it finished. You can use code STEPH for 10% your orders from Frame It Easy and I absolutely love this custom framing service. It's affordable and made in the United States!
