natural body butter

Living in Colorado and taking care of my skin is not my strong suit. Most times I left my skin suffer before Austin reminds me to put on some dang lotion! I dry brush strictly and moisturize my face daily but when it comes to the neck and below 0 attention is given. While in California my bother pointed out my eczema on my arms and I freaked out. I had never seen my eczema flair up like that and it was just a big slap in the face. So I decided to change that and make my own eczema cream and body butter.

You'll need.

  • 3/4 cup unrefined bees wax pellets
  • 1/2 cup unrefined shea butter
  • 1 cup unrefined organic coconut oil
  • 1/8 cup organic jojoba oil
  • 20 drops lavender oil (young living)
  • 20 drops stress away oil (young living)
  • and old jar or a mason jar. Size depending on how much you want.

*the bee's and shea butter I got in bulk off Amazon ( I still have a TON) coconut oil at Costco and jojoba you can pretty much get anywhere. I only use young living when its comes to putting essential oils on my body and ingesting them and other brands while diffusing. I used an old bee mama jar and left over jar I had from sea salt!

to make: add the first four ingredients to a double boiler. Each oils melts differently so continue to stir until everything is melted. After your oils are melted add your essential oils and stir. This recipe filled up the jar on the right and we used it to make an eczema jar on the left just added a little more and changed the oils. Try and use an older bowl and spoon because the bee's wax is super hard to get off. We soaked and washed the in the dishwasher twice it just was a little more work than a simple wash.

For the eczema we used purification and lavender but most people use tea tree oil or some type of blend with it. This would be amazing with a citrus oil as well!

Go get crazy kids!
